Overview

LAQ Coho is an intentional cohousing community rooted in connection, collaboration, and modern communal living. The brand exists to create a welcoming environment where residents can experience both independence and meaningful community engagement.

The website was designed to communicate the lifestyle, values, and long-term vision of the community while making information more accessible to prospective residents. With a growing need for a stronger online presence, the goal was to create a digital experience that felt warm, trustworthy, and easy to navigate—while reflecting the human-centered nature of the brand.

CHALLENGE

The community had an outdated digital presence spread across multiple platforms, including an inaccessible legacy website, an unfinished replacement site, and inactive social channels.

While valuable content and community history existed, the overall experience lacked cohesion, clarity, and a modern visual identity. The challenge was to create a fresh, unified website that could preserve the heart of the community while presenting it in a more polished, accessible, and trustworthy way.

At the same time, the project required balancing multiple stakeholder opinions, salvaging usable existing assets, and building a stronger foundation for the brand moving forward.

Solution

A completely refreshed digital experience was created to unify the brand and modernize its online presence.

The website was redesigned with a cleaner structure, improved visual hierarchy, and more intentional storytelling to better communicate the community’s mission and lifestyle. Existing content and assets were carefully refined and repurposed where valuable, while outdated elements were removed to create a more cohesive experience.

The final result balanced warmth with clarity—transforming a fragmented online presence into a modern, approachable platform that feels aligned with the community’s vision and future growth.
